Focus on your goals

In order to effectively utilize your time and effort

You must have clarity of goal

Even it is the brightest day of the year

And you put a magnifying glass under the Sun

Over a piece of newspaper

If you keep shaking the glass the paper is going to untouched

But if you focus those rays in one place

In less than a minute the paper will have caught fired

That is the power of concentration of focus

If we wish to accomplish a goal we need to be focused. Our efforts should be having razor - sharp concentration.

Florence Chadwick – long distance swimmer

In 1952, she aimed at conquering the Catalina Channel. She was an astronishing swimmer. She has been the best long distance ocean swimmer in the women history. She conquered the English Channel two times in both directions and many other channels of the world. And then she made an attempt in the Catalina Channel, shark - infested area. In 1952 when she made an attempt, it turned out to be a foggy and misty day. A boat was accompanying her just in case of shark attack she has to be retrieved. Now, it was quite a distance and she continued the whole way until finally all she could see was fog and mist and she gave up. When she gave up she came to know later on the shore was only 1 and ¼ of a mile away. She said, “ The reason I gave up was, I was  not able to see my goal”. Two months later she made another attempt this time she had absolute clarity about how far the goal is, and he succeeded. All of us must have that clarity.

What is our goal? When the goal is there, you will be filled with enthusiasm to attain it. Without the goal where would you be? One man driving the car asked a passerby, “ Where does this road go?” The passerby said, “ Where you wish to go?” He said, “Anywhere”. The passerby said , “Then why do you ask, take any road”. That is exactly what will happen if our goals are not clear. It is said that out of 100% of the people, 5% write down the goals of their life. And the 5% percent who actually write them down and have clarity of vision, 95% of them achieve their goals. Because they have a target to hit. Think of football , without the goal posts we do play such kind of football for more than 5 minutes we will get bored.

Goals enable us to focus our efforts. They help us measure our progress. They keep encouraging us, and help us surmount the most difficult obstacles. So we must have our goal clear. What do you wish to achieve? If you do, every moment you will progress towards it.

The son went to the jewelry store came back to his father and said they offered $100 because it is so sold. The father said try with the Pawn shop the son went to the Pawn shop came back to his father and said they offered only $20 because it has a scratch. The father asked his son to go to the museum and show them the watch; the son quietly questioned his father's judgment, but still willing to act on his father's last wishes. He went to the museum and when he came back, he said to his father the curator offered $375,000 for this rare piece to be included in the precious antique collection.   The father respondent: I wanted to show...

Once upon a time there lived a very wise man. He was the mayor of a local Village. Everyone respected him and his views and opinions were  well-regarded. Many people came to him seeking for advice. His son however was very lazy and wasted his time by sleeping and spending time with his friends no amount of advice or threat made any difference to him. It would not change at all. The years passed and with time faded the Youth of the wise man as he Grew Older he began to worry about his son's future. He recognized that he had to give his son something so that he could take care of himself and his family in the future.  So one day the wise man called his son to his room and said my son you are no more a kid and now, you must learn to take responsibilities and understand life. I want you to find the real purpose of your life. And once you find it, remember it always and you will lead a life full of happiness and joy forever. What helps to understand Love?

This story tells you what is need to understand Love. On this Earth a long long time ago before humans were on this planet even before Dinosaurs were on this planet, by that time only feelings inhabited the Earth. There was an island where all the feelings lived Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge and all of the others including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island was going to sink. It was inevitable the island would sink into the deep vast ocean. So they all needed to get off the island as soon as possible. So all the feelings prepared boats and left into the open Sea to see what would happen. Love was the only one who stayed on the island. Love wanted to stay on the island until it started to sink and when Love was almost sinking it decided to ask for help.  Wealth was passing by love in a beautiful boat and love asked ‘Wealth! Can you take me with you? Wealth answered No, I can't, there are lot of gold and silver in my boat'. There is no place here fo...

Break your Limits

This is the story about the elephant and the Rope. Once upon a time there was a tourist who was traveling through Thailand. He was passing by some elephants and he suddenly stopped because he was confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. There were no chains or no cages and it was obvious that the elephants could at any time break away from their bonds, but for some reason they did not.  The tourist saw a trainer nearby and asked him why these animals stood there and made no attempts to get away. Well, the trainer said when they were very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and at that age it's enough to hold them. As they grow up they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the Rope can still hold them. So they never try to break free. The tourist was amazed. These animals could have any time break free from their bonds, but because they believe that they could...

Change your problems into Success

“What is the difference between the winner and loser The loser loses 4 times and gives up The winner also loses 11 times but succeeded in the 12 th time To succeed in life you have to learn to handle failure   You have to learn to handle problem”     Is there anybody here who doesn't have problems? Of course not, what we need to learn most important in life is your attitude towards problems. So the first thing then is to expect problems. As Murphy’s law states if anything can go wrong, it will. Many people when they have a problem in their work they said “Ohh God I have got a problem”. However the only way you can justify your job is that there are problems which you are solving ,if there were no problems that you cannot justify why you’re getting paid. So expect problem just like when you are going uphill your climbing a hill you know the going will be tough. So how do you know that you are progressing the sign is there are problems which they are ar...

Weaknesses is also a Strength

Once upon a time there was a young woman who lived on top of the hill. Every day she had to walk down the hill to collect water from a river. She had two pots to carry water which she hung upon a pole so she could carry it over her shoulders and it went on. Later on one-day one of her pots got a small crack along inside.  She observed the crack on the pot and decided she could still use it. So every day the woman carried those two parts down the hill to the river she filled them  and walked back up the hill balancing the pole across her shoulders. And by the time she reached the house the crackpot would be only half full while the other pot would be full to the top and the crackpot would glance at the other pot which the water was still filled to the top and the crackpot began to feel worthless.  The fully filled pot was proud of its accomplishment while the crackpot felt ashamed that he wasn't able to accomplish the same amount of water as the other part did. So th...
