Experiences from Iron lady of Pakistan - MUNIBA MAZARI

“The twelve years that I have spent in this wheel chair have taught me some powerful life lessons. And I thought that maybe I should share some of those lessons with you all. I have learnt that accidents can happen, accidents will happen but those accidents which were so powerful and so strong that can change your DNA, the accidents which may be somehow deform your body, transform your soul are not just accidents. They are ‘blessing in disguise’ because they transform you into the best version of you. So embrace those accidents I tried to hate the incident, I tried to forget it but I couldn’t because how can you hate something which transformed into a better version of you. So instead of hating it, I embraced it.     In these 12 years I have learnt that life is so unpredictable, life is full of unwanted unexpected series of events. How in blink of an eye everything changed, how in blink of an eye my life changed and how in blink of an eye I changed. I learnt that with all these cha

When we feel lost or giving up - a short speech by Steve Jobs

"When things to be shattered and difficult You can still keep a positive attitude Y ou see them as blessings in disguise From God's perspective it is all learning curve We are all WIP’s that is ‘works in progress' In this situation of ours we will make many mistakes There will be times when things are not going all alright Negative thoughts will come And things will become difficult before they become easy But never give up, be optimistic, be confident"     Here is a speech given by Steve Jobs given at the convocation in Stanford. While he was addressing graduates. Steve Jobs said I never graduated and this is the closest I ever got to graduation . He said his biological mother was an unwed graduate, she wanted to give him away and made him available for adoption before he had  delivered but her condition was that the adopting parents should be graduates and two parents were assigned. However when he popped out he was a boy instead of a girl and they refused to take

Stay Positive Program your subconscious

“If you want to perform at the peak level Your conscious mind will not be enough You will need the subconscious And the first tool for programming our subconscious Is self affirmation You speak positively to yourself ”   Our conscious mind is what we are aware of. And through the conscious mind we program the subconscious. Hence the conscious mind become like a gateway of our subconscious.   Roger Bannister – Athlete In the modern Olympics right upto the year 1954, nonody had run the mile in less than four minutes. So all Scientists, Doctors, Sportts people used to give reasons that why we can’t run the mile in less than four minutes; they would say our lungs are not big enough, if you try you will have a heartattack and so on. So everybody self talk was I cannot do it, I cannot do it.                                                                                            But a person who is Roger Bannister a student of sports chaged his self talk that “I can

Focus on your goals

In order to effectively utilize your time and effort You must have clarity of goal Even it is the brightest day of the year And you put a magnifying glass under the Sun Over a piece of newspaper If you keep shaking the glass the paper is going to untouched But if you focus those rays in one place In less than a minute the paper will have caught fired That is the power of concentration of focus   If we wish to accomplish a goal we need to be focused. Our efforts should be having razor - sharp concentration.   Florence Chadwick – long distance swimmer In 1952, she aimed at conquering the Catalina Channel. She was an astronishing swimmer. Think Progress Success is not far

No matter what we do Who we are Where we stay Each and everyone of us Has the feeling within                                          I have not yet become As I wish to be I have not yet done As I wish to do I have not yet feel the happiness That I need to feel And that is why I need to progress further The urge to become better The urge to grow Is universal and common to all humankind   Very often people get stuck in the fixed mindset. That “ I have already grown and I can grow no further”. But that is a pity because human life is meant for progress.   If you cannot reach the ultimate goal, atleast move ahead from where you are at the beginning of life with what you can.   So that your life become a success. Let us see it with evidentical     Dick Fosbury – an athlete In the year 1900 the high jump record stood at 6 feet 2 inches. However in the 1960s there came a gentleman called Dick Fosbury. He said, “ I can jump much higher. I will use th

Power of Visualization

A picture is worth a thousand words. An image is always more powerful. As a self transmission tool you can use it. The power of visualization was graphically revealed. Now in such a place you body will start deteriorating due to lack of exercise. The brain   will also start deteriorating. He had this will to remain alright. Of course for his body he would do anti-gravity exercises. But what to do for the brain? As a child he was   fond of chess. So he said I will play chess in the mind. Now you keep 64 squares in the mind. Naturally, it will ba a big gymnastics. Every day he used to play chess in his in mind. And with whom to play? So he
