“Count
not your life
In the
number of breaths that you breathe
Count
it in the number of moments
That
took your breath away
Make
magic use every moment.”
There is an interesting story one teenager from college had a
summer break going on. He decided to earn some pocket money and he found the
nearby Mall had some jobs. He submitted his application along with the CV and
he was invited for the interview on Saturday at noon time when he reached there
at 11:00 a.m. He discovered there were 20 youth sitting in front of him. He was
the 21st in the line. He realized that he did not stand a chance in this
selection process, but he was inspired.
So did something out of the ordinary. He wrote a note and
gave it to the lady clerk in the waiting room. He said ma'am “Can you please
deliver this to the interviewing manager? The lady said Sonny when your turn
comes you can hand it to him yourself. He said ma'am this is urgent, it cannot
make wait he needs to see it right now. She was old and experienced the urgency
in his voice convinced her. He took the slip and handed it to the manager. Seeing
the slip the manager broke into a smile and he selected the child.
You will wonder what he had written there. His note said “sir,
I am the 21st kid in the line decide nothing until you see me”. By writing that
he was expressing his enthusiasm for the job, that quality of enthusiasm is so
important for Success because it connects us with the huge fund of energy
within ourselves. Those who don't have motivation will fail in every sphere of
human activity. And those who are inspired will continue until they succeed. You
see the difference between those who succeeded and those who failed. The
successful also failed but they continued on and they succeeded on the 9th
attempt, the unsuccessful gave up after four failures because they lacked the
motivation.
Now you have probably
heard the story of Thomas Edison in the process of inventing the bulb he failed
thousands of times, but he strived on because of his positive mindset when he
failed for the 3999th time, a correspondent asked him. Mr. Edison, are you not
dejected at having failed yet again? He said young man let me teach you a
lesson that will help you all your life. I did not fail for the 3999th time but
I discovered the 3999th way, how the bulb cannot be made I'm reaching closer to
my goal. If Thomas Edison did not have that positive mindset, its possible today
we may have been in Candle Light. In other words, everybody realizes the
important of inspiration, if you are inspired, the biggest challenges will
appear tiny and puny to you. And if you are uninspired, a little difficulty that
you encounter in your life seems like a formidable obstacle that prevents any
further progress.
So inspire yourself and how do you inspire yourself? By
giving your intellect good reasons why a certain work is important. You cannot increase
your lifespan very much, but you can increase the depth, the breadth, and the
width of your life. So utilize every moment
