Attitude of Successful people

“Count not your life In the number of breaths that you breathe Count it in the number of moments That took your breath away Make magic use every moment.”   There is an interesting story one teenager from college had a summer break going on. He decided to earn some pocket money and he found the nearby Mall had some jobs. He submitted his application along with the CV and he was invited for the interview on Saturday at noon time when he reached there at 11:00 a.m. He discovered there were 20 youth sitting in front of him. He was the 21st in the line. He realized that he did not stand a chance in this selection process, but he was inspired.   So did something out of the ordinary. He wrote a note and gave it to the lady clerk in the waiting room. He said ma'am “Can you please deliver this to the interviewing manager? The lady said Sonny when your turn comes you can hand it to him yourself. He said ma'am this is urgent, it cannot make wait he needs to see it right

Experiences from Iron lady of Pakistan - MUNIBA MAZARI

“The twelve years that I have spent in this wheel chair have taught me some powerful life lessons. And I thought that maybe I should share some of those lessons with you all. I have learnt that accidents can happen, accidents will happen but those accidents which were so powerful and so strong that can change your DNA, the accidents which may be somehow deform your body, transform your soul are not just accidents. They are ‘blessing in disguise’ because they transform you into the best version of you. So embrace those accidents I tried to hate the incident, I tried to forget it but I couldn’t because how can you hate something which transformed into a better version of you. So instead of hating it, I embraced it.     In these 12 years I have learnt that life is so unpredictable, life is full of unwanted unexpected series of events. How in blink of an eye everything changed, how in blink of an eye my life changed and how in blink of an eye I changed. I learnt that with all these cha

Know the importance of Knowledge - UPDATE YOUR KNOWLEDGE

The ‘Paras’ is the mythical philosopher’s Stone supposed to have the power to transform iron into gold. Hence a Paras can solve all of a person’s financial problems. One servant was working at home his master’s family lived in the village and the master had gone to the office. An ascetic sadhu came home and requested the servant “I am hungry. Give me some food I will offer you a Paras in return”. The servant was almost illiterate but he had heard that the Paras is something valuable. He offered food to the sadhu and received the Paras in exchange. He thought what would I do with it and he decided to give it to his master. He placed it on his master’s table.   The master returned from his office and he was already in a bad mood, he found a stone on his table he got further annoyed. And he shouted the servant “What is this?” The servant said, “It is a Paras”. The master laughed and said somebody has Paras would come and begging for you, he has handed you an ordinary stone. The master

Connection between Mind and Body - Heal yourself

Amongst the many mysteries of the human personality, one of the remarkable once is the mind-body connection. Interestingly though the mind is subtle, and the body is gross, yet our mental thoughts have their physical consequences upon the parameters of the body.   An interesting experiment was conducted by Dr. Stewart Wolf ‘when pregnant ladies would visit his clinic with symptoms of vomiting, he would try this out. He would give Ipecac to them a drug that induces vomiting and naturally, the symptoms would increase. He would then say, “I’ve got a wonder drug that has just been released by great pharmacy company and I’m going to give it to you. It was tried on 10,000 patients and worked every time”. With those words he would administer the same Ipecac. The ladies would take it and symptoms of vomiting would disappear through the night. How did that happen? When I read this story I try to understand why does vomiting happen? Interestingly, there is no physical mechanism that induces

When we feel lost or giving up - a short speech by Steve Jobs

"When things to be shattered and difficult You can still keep a positive attitude Y ou see them as blessings in disguise From God's perspective it is all learning curve We are all WIP’s that is ‘works in progress' In this situation of ours we will make many mistakes There will be times when things are not going all alright Negative thoughts will come And things will become difficult before they become easy But never give up, be optimistic, be confident"     Here is a speech given by Steve Jobs given at the convocation in Stanford. While he was addressing graduates. Steve Jobs said I never graduated and this is the closest I ever got to graduation . He said his biological mother was an unwed graduate, she wanted to give him away and made him available for adoption before he had  delivered but her condition was that the adopting parents should be graduates and two parents were assigned. However when he popped out he was a boy instead of a girl and they refused to take

Change your problems into Success

“What is the difference between the winner and loser The loser loses 4 times and gives up The winner also loses 11 times but succeeded in the 12 th time To succeed in life you have to learn to handle failure   You have to learn to handle problem”     Is there anybody here who doesn't have problems? Of course not, what we need to learn most important in life is your attitude towards problems. So the first thing then is to expect problems. As Murphy’s law states if anything can go wrong, it will. Many people when they have a problem in their work they said “Ohh God I have got a problem”. However the only way you can justify your job is that there are problems which you are solving ,if there were no problems that you cannot justify why you’re getting paid. So expect problem just like when you are going uphill your climbing a hill you know the going will be tough. So how do you know that you are progressing the sign is there are problems which they are arising. And if n

Live life happier forever

“Some people need the weather to be alright To be happy. But there are others Who carry the weather with them In other words it doesn’t matter Everyday is a Friday How to develop that attitude ? What is it that enables some people To master their emotions And always be happy??”   The externals are not in our hands. What do we need to be happy? Do we need a big bungalow,or do we need a Cadillac, or do we need seven zeros in our bank balance. And supposing we have all that, is there a guarantee that we will be happy. Actually not,it is all a matter of our attitude. These attitudes are so important. They can make heaven out of hell, and hell out of heaven.   Story of two patients There were two patients in the ICU of a hospital. Both were critically Ill and bed ridden. Since they had been there for few days, they used to speak to each other and had established a deep bond. They had exchanged their stories of their childhood, their youth, their early marriage, t

Stay Positive Program your subconscious

“If you want to perform at the peak level Your conscious mind will not be enough You will need the subconscious And the first tool for programming our subconscious Is self affirmation You speak positively to yourself ”   Our conscious mind is what we are aware of. And through the conscious mind we program the subconscious. Hence the conscious mind become like a gateway of our subconscious.   Roger Bannister – Athlete In the modern Olympics right upto the year 1954, nonody had run the mile in less than four minutes. So all Scientists, Doctors, Sportts people used to give reasons that why we can’t run the mile in less than four minutes; they would say our lungs are not big enough, if you try you will have a heartattack and so on. So everybody self talk was I cannot do it, I cannot do it.                                                                                            But a person who is Roger Bannister a student of sports chaged his self talk that “I can

Focus on your goals

In order to effectively utilize your time and effort You must have clarity of goal Even it is the brightest day of the year And you put a magnifying glass under the Sun Over a piece of newspaper If you keep shaking the glass the paper is going to untouched But if you focus those rays in one place In less than a minute the paper will have caught fired That is the power of concentration of focus   If we wish to accomplish a goal we need to be focused. Our efforts should be having razor - sharp concentration.   Florence Chadwick – long distance swimmer In 1952, she aimed at conquering the Catalina Channel. She was an astronishing swimmer. She has been the best long distance ocean swimmer in the women history. She conquered the English Channel two times in both directions and many other channels of the world. And then she made an attempt in the Catalina Channel, shark - infested area. In 1952 when she made an attempt, it turned out to be a foggy and misty day.

Think Progress Success is not far

No matter what we do Who we are Where we stay Each and everyone of us Has the feeling within                                          I have not yet become As I wish to be I have not yet done As I wish to do I have not yet feel the happiness That I need to feel And that is why I need to progress further The urge to become better The urge to grow Is universal and common to all humankind   Very often people get stuck in the fixed mindset. That “ I have already grown and I can grow no further”. But that is a pity because human life is meant for progress.   If you cannot reach the ultimate goal, atleast move ahead from where you are at the beginning of life with what you can.   So that your life become a success. Let us see it with evidentical     Dick Fosbury – an athlete In the year 1900 the high jump record stood at 6 feet 2 inches. However in the 1960s there came a gentleman called Dick Fosbury. He said, “ I can jump much higher. I will use th

Power of Visualization

A picture is worth a thousand words. An image is always more powerful. As a self transmission tool you can use it. The power of visualization was graphically revealed. Let us take a look of it by an evidence.   Story of Natan Shranskay He was a jew living in communist Russia and he was accused of being an American spy. He was thrown into jail. He describes the condition in jail they were so bad. For 400 days he was in the Siberian jail the worst of them all. His prison cell was 4/3 feet where he used to live. Now in such a place you body will start deteriorating due to lack of exercise. The brain   will also start deteriorating. He had this will to remain alright. Of course for his body he would do anti-gravity exercises. But what to do for the brain? As a child he was   fond of chess. So he said I will play chess in the mind. Now you keep 64 squares in the mind. Naturally, it will ba a big gymnastics. Every day he used to play chess in his in mind. And with whom to play? So he
